WE CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU.
Owner & Character Performer
Julia, an actor, singer, and entrepreneur, has been performing onstage in the Kansas City Metro since the age of five. When she first appeared as a princess for a charity event in 2015, she fell in love with the magic of character appearances and their ability to bring people together. In 2019, Julia began performing professionally for her first character company, Ever After KC. In the fall of 2020, she took over Upon A Dream and merged the two groups into one.
Stage credits include the titular role in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella (Weston Community Theatre), Swing/Ensemble in the world premiere of Vilna: A Resistance Story (The Jewish Community Center), Medda Larkin in Newsies (The Culture House), and Hermia in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream (The Culture House).
Erica has always had a passion for making people feel beautiful. She is a licensed cosmetologist, singer, and is making her debut as an actress. Erica was a Sunday school teacher for many years for young children and finds joy in encouraging creativity and imagination. Being a part of Upon A Dream is a dream come true for Erica as she can dress up, sing, and help children’s dreams come true.
Adiah was born and raised in the Kansas City area and has grown a love for music and community throughout her life. In adolescence she performed in several onstage productions and improv events locally with CYT, and sang for years with the Kansas City Girl's Choir. At age 14, she had a leading role in the short film "Tender" which went on to be featured in the 2010 Chicago Film Festival.
Now Adiah is a mom to a beautiful little princess and is a Certified Medical Assistant who works as part of a care team in the pediatrics department at a local family practice office. She can't wait to have the opportunity to celebrate with your little princess or prince in your castle!
Carly is a recent graduate of the University of Kansas. Eventually, she wants to work with underprivileged pre-adolescents and create music therapy programs that are accessible to everyone, regardless of financial status. Her desire to share music with others, extensive musical theatre & opera background, and love of ballgowns lead her to Upon a Dream. She could not be more grateful for the opportunity to share magic with all of you.
Kourteney’s love for music, performing and princesses began early. By the age of 6, she was confidently belting “Part of Your World,” on car rides with her mother and sharing with everyone that Aladdin was, in fact, her boyfriend. As she grew older, those passions remained and became accompanied by a fierce love for the preciousness of children and the magic they possess.
Kourteney studied Musical Theatre at Wichita State University before embarking on her professional acting, dancing & singing career in Kansas City in 2017. She can’t wait to celebrate your little princess/prince with you!
After watching princesses perform at the Disney parks, Melody knew from a very young age that she wanted to bring magic to people, just like magic was brought to her. Throughout high school and college, Melody participated in several theatre productions and acted in forensics.
Now, she is an outreach coordinator for a local nonprofit. Her passion for performance remains alive and well, and she's overjoyed to share it with your princess or prince! After working as a cast member at Walt Disney World in Florida, she is thrilled to continue making magic in the Kansas City area.

Going to school in Florida aslo gave Maddy the opportunity to be a character actress for Eastern Florida and visit Disney World many times. She can neither confirm nor deny the number of times she has cried while meeting princesses. Maddy loves teaching science to kiddos at Science City, flitting around as a faerie at the Renaissance Festival, and making magic by celebrating with you and the Kansas City kingdom!
