Julia Condon
Owner & Character Performer

Julia, an actor, singer, and entrepreneur, has been performing onstage in the Kansas City Metro since the age of five. When she first appeared as a princess for a charity event in 2015, she fell in love with the magic of character appearances and their ability to bring people together. In 2019, Julia began performing professionally for her first character company, Ever After KC. In the fall of 2020, she took over Upon A Dream and merged the two groups into one. 

Stage credits include the titular role in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella (Weston Community Theatre), Swing/Ensemble in the world premiere of Vilna: A Resistance Story (The Jewish Community Center), Medda Larkin in Newsies (The Culture House), and Hermia in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream (The Culture House). 

Erica Coleman
Character Performer

Erica has always had a passion for making people feel beautiful. She is a licensed cosmetologist, singer, and is making her debut as an actress. Erica was a Sunday school teacher for many years for young children and finds joy in encouraging creativity and imagination. Being a part of Upon A Dream is a dream come true for Erica as she can dress up, sing, and help children’s dreams come true.

Adiah Frazier
Character Performer

Adiah was born and raised in the Kansas City area and has grown a love for music and community throughout her life. In adolescence she performed in several onstage productions and improv events locally with CYT, and sang for years with the Kansas City Girl's Choir. At age 14, she had a leading role in the short film "Tender" which went on to be featured in the 2010 Chicago Film Festival.

Now Adiah is a mom to a beautiful little princess and is a Certified Medical Assistant who works as part of a care team in the pediatrics department at a local family practice office. She can't wait to have the opportunity to celebrate with your little princess or prince in your castle!

Kourteney Halksworth
Character Performer

Kourteney’s love for music, performing and princesses began early. By the age of 6, she was confidently belting “Part of Your World,” on car rides with her mother and sharing with everyone that Aladdin was, in fact, her boyfriend. As she grew older, those passions remained and became accompanied by a fierce love for the preciousness of children and the magic they possess.

Kourteney studied Musical Theatre at Wichita State University before embarking on her professional acting, dancing & singing career in Kansas City in 2017. She can’t wait to celebrate your little princess/prince with you!

Melody Herren
Character Performer

After watching princesses perform at the Disney parks, Melody knew from a very young age that she wanted to bring magic to people, just like magic was brought to her. Throughout high school and college, Melody participated in several theatre productions and acted in forensics.

Now, she is an outreach coordinator for a local nonprofit. Her passion for performance remains alive and well, and she's overjoyed to share it with your princess or prince! After working as a cast member at Walt Disney World in Florida, she is thrilled to continue making magic in the Kansas City area.

Athena Horton
Character Performer

Athena is a local mental health professional who shares a passion for the arts! Not only are they working on their Master of Social Work degree, they are an actor, singer, costume designer, and theatrical producer with 10+ years of theatrical experience. 

Athena loves working for Upon a Dream because it provides them the opportunity to not only bring joy into a child's day, but to help that child see themselves in and feel represented by their favorite princess.

Maddy Phillip
Character Performer

Maddy is a KC native who is so excited to help make magic in her home kingdom! She's been involved in theatre, band, and choir for over 10 years, and recently graduated from Florida Tech with a degree in astrophysics. That's right; You can be a princess AND an astrophysicist. 

Going to school in Florida aslo gave Maddy the opportunity to be a character actress for Eastern Florida and visit Disney World many times. She can neither confirm nor deny the number of times she has cried while meeting princesses. Maddy loves teaching science to kiddos at Science City, flitting around as a faerie at the Renaissance Festival, and making magic by celebrating with you and the Kansas City kingdom!

MJ Puderbaugh
Character Performer

MJ Puderbaugh is a young artist who grew up in Topeka, KS. They spent their early childhood watching their sisters onstage, and was inspired to join them. From there they spent all their time trying to get themself onstage, whether in the spotlight or behind the scenes. In May 2020 they graduated with a BA in Theatre Performance from The University of Kansas along with 4 years of technical experience with the university. Afterwards they continued their passions as a working artist in the Kansas City area, and has been performing with UAD since fall of 2021. Currently MJ can be found either working with UAD or their own performance group The Oddity Collective, at various events across the state of Kansas.

Isabel Robb
Seasonal Character Performer

Isabel has led a life surrounded by music, from participating in school musicals to singing in her church's choir. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Nursing at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. Isabel portrays the Wayfinder, Miracle Keeper, and Arabian Princess for Upon a Dream when she is home on seasonal breaks. 

Sarah Schulte
Character Performer

Sarah, soprano, is originally from Chicago, IL and is the Director of Choirs at Park Hill South high school in Riverside, Missouri. Sarah graduated from the University of Missouri in 2018 with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Music Education, Summa Cum Laude, studying voice and opera.

Sarah is passionate about music and education in the community, and has held multiple arts advocacy positions, including internships with Choral Arts Alliance of Missouri and Lyric Opera of Chicago. Sarah has sung abroad in China, Sweden, and Estonia, and has performed in local music theatre and opera productions. When not "princessing," Sarah teaches musical theatre with CYT KC and sings professionally with the choral ensemble Te Deum.
